Co-organized by WIOT, the “2014 Ninth Guangdong and Hong Kong IOT Technology Application Summit Forum” observed the grand opening on October 13th, 2014 in Guangzhou. Yan Feng, President of WIOT attended the activity and addressed a speech.

The theme of the Forum was “Smart IOT, Innovative Guangdong and Hong Kong”, focusing on the cooperative achievements between Guangdong and Hong Kong and IOT technology application.

Apart from governmental leaders and guests from organizations and associations in Guangdong and Hong Kong, there were around 500 representatives from international IOT and RFID industries, governmental organizations and enterprises at the Forum.

In addition, the 2014 Rotating Chairman Transition Ceremony of the Guangdong IOT Industrial Alliance was held at the Forum. As the Rotating Chairman Unit in the year of 2013-2014, Yan Feng, President of WIOT Technology Group summarized main work of the Alliance and WIOT during 2013-2014, on behalf of WIOT and Guangdong IOT Industrial Alliance. He said that as the yearly Rotating Chairman Unit, WIOT relied on industrial agglomeration advantages of the Guangdong IOT Application Industrial Base to promote development of the Alliance and jointly accelerate rapid development of IOT industry in Guangdong Province together with Alliance members through organizing diverse activities, increasing establishment of IOT application carriers, creating international cooperation and exchange platform and promoting settlement of key demonstration projects. For future, WIOT will assist in all work of the Alliance as always, driven by key applications of Guangdong IOT industry, further strengthening cooperation between IOT industry and enterprises, forming industrial agglomeration to promote overall development of industrial applications and regional IOT industry. It will be beneficial to realize key technological breakthrough of Guangdong IOT industry and independent innovation of application technologies to fully boost development of IOT industry and industrial upgrading in Gunagdong, contributing to “Smart Guangdong” and “Happy Guangdong”.

The attended leaders and guests spoke highly of contribution of WIOT to the Alliance in the past year.
